Louis M. Martini Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon: This is a distinctly layered wine with notes of ripe dark plum, black currant and sage. Rich and full-bodied, this superbly balanced wine has an expansive mid-palate and an exceptionally long finish. Already displaying a refined profile, this vintage’s well-structured tannins and ample acidity will allow it to age for more than a decade.
Chateau Montelena Cabernet Sauvignon: Pure and powerful, this wine opens with fresh blueberries, blackberry pie and cassis. The endless dark fruit is complemented by a range of baking spices: vanilla at first, but also clove and cinnamon. The first sip instantly reveals the character of this Cabernet: dense and chewy with bright red fruit, incredible tension, and pure, fine grain tannins.
Far Niente Chardonnay: Spicy oak and bright acidity complement each other in this well-made white, which shows strong tones of crisp citrus and green apple. It builds body on the midpalate, with integrated woody notes and lasting richness.
The included corkscrew is double hinged, crafted with wood, stainless steel, and a non-stick worm, and is as gorgeous as it is functional.
This set also includes a Kentucky Derby-inspired horse bottle stopper, crafted from pewter. With a stately design, the metal stopper with rubber seal provides a secure fit to most wine and spirit bottles.
